We aim to promote a positive image of care-experienced young people by highlighting these young people’s achievements and positive stories. By hearing, and more importantly listening, to their voices we hope to better understand their experience and how to make their lives better. Please share this competition with any children in care or care leavers you know and encourage and support them to enter.

This year we are asking looked after children and care leavers to write about ‘What Makes Life Good?’. They can write about their family, school, social workers, games, carers, books, teachers, films, friends or even their pets... anything that makes their life good! It could be a poem, a short story, a song, a rap – anything! As long as it is under 500 words and complies with the Voices rules. You can find information about the rules of Voices and how to enter at www.coramvoice.org.uk/voices, as well as reading some of last year’s incredible entries to get a feel for what Voices is all about.
